I posted a Family O'4 photo album as my tribute to DW on Mother's day She was a superb mother, despite her own mother dying before our children were born. She raised confident intelligent women who are now fine mothers themselves. She also set an example of using her brains and talents to the utmost in her profession while never letting her children think they came second.
I took her fish sticks and blueberry yogurt and cake and ice cream  I played her favorite Gordon Lightfoot songs and even once coaxed a sort of smile    

She loved the line from "Sundown"

  I can see her lying back in her satin dress
In a room where you do what you don't confess

Every long dress she ever had to wear always did "double duty" as a nightgown 
Right down to mother of the Bride #2 
I have saved all of them  
   
this song was her favorite and even today it tears my guts
