She advised me to get DW on a waiting list for care. It is a relief that she told me but on the other hand. darn* it , it ain't fair. She took care of all of us for years- this is the reward she gets.  I know I have to do it.

    I know exactly how you feel, Ken. I wish it could be easier, but that's not in the cards.

    I'm sorry you're at this point. When my DH was on a waiting list, we had the option to say no when his name came up. We'd stay at the top of the list. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, when his name rose to the top, it was time and we placed him. Better to be on a list than to suddenly feel it's time and there not be an opening. Blessings to you both.
