So I super appreciate the support on here! More than I can say! Just seeing that we're not the only ones helps tremendously!
So the reason for this post is because we tried "tricking" my Gramma into going to the Dr. Needless to say it didn't work. What else can we do???!!! She really needs to be seen. Thank you in advance!!

Can you tell her this is something Social Security is wanting her to do? Iam sure her doctor will go along with it. Just ask. Hope this helps.0

Many providers still do telemedicine. Depending on what issue you're facing you may be able to arrange a televisit. You will need to do 100% of the setup of the video or whatever, but the provider will be able to see your loved one in their natural habitat, which can be very informative.0

Tell her it's required by Medicare or she'll lose her insurance. Put a letter on a fake letterhead if you have to.0

Personally, I would do the M1 strategy.
Some folks have success, if gramma is still the sort who does for others, of asking gramma to attend a doctor's appointment for you because you are scared of bad news.

My mother had an appointment a few months back and she was actually on board. She was looking forward to the time out of the house. Of course, when the time came to get her dressed and out the door, she REFUSED! She was like a truck that would not move! So, 45 minutes before her appointment, I called the office and they were able to switch the appointment to Telemed. Of course, I had to set it all up on my phone (Dad was really impressed LOL). All 3 of us were able to attend the appointment and Mom actually thought it was pretty cool that she could talk to someone on my phone. Dad said it was very Star Treky. So a bad situation actually turned out to be sort of fun for both parents. My only issue was that I was not able to speak to the Dr. alone, which I would have been able to do so in person, but I'll work on that for her next appointment.0
