Advance advice on moving from AL to MC

My mom is about to move into AL. She is still fairly independent. She's not on any medication, still bathes, feeds and dresses herself. She was even managing her bills though she was driving her vendors crazy because she often called them multiple times a month to confirm payment or that the statement had been sent.

I put all her bills on autopay and am working to move her to AL to extend her lucidity as she's super isolated where she lives. She moves into AL later this month but I know she will eventually need to move her to MC.

Her memory is horrible but she can manage through a system of writing things down on a calendar. She does still seem to retain some information if it's repeated to her a billion times.

She is going to fight me about moving to AL.. and it makes me worry about the next eventual transition to MC. Her AL facility does not have MC but says they will help with the transition.

I'm constantly doubting myself on the decisions I'm making for her, especially because she's resistant. This is a private pay community but they gave us a heck of a deal on a 1 bedroom. A $1.5K a month reduction on the monthly rent. It's super conveniently located and Mom seemed to like it. It's small, clean, and walking distance to many things.

So my question is, was it dumb to go with a facility that doesn't have MC? What should I be preparing for once she needs to go to MC? Does anyone have recommendations on spend down facilities for MC in the Seattle area? My mom has some assets but her family has really long life spans and I know we'll likely have to move to Medicaid at some point.
