A story about a lost dog

Our grandson, Phil, and his family came to see us. He said his dog got out, and they thought someone picked him up. He had been missing for about 6 months, when while driving, he saw the dog roaming the streets. He stopped, and called the dog by name. The dog came running to him, and he opened the car door for the dog to jump in. When they got home, he played with the dog in the back yard for quite some time. His 2 kids came home from school, and they were thrilled when they saw the dog. All three of them were having a good time playing with the dog, when Phil told me his mother came by. She walked into the yard, and when everyone was telling the story of how they found the dog, she asked when the dog had a sex change. Their dog was a male, and this was a female! I didn't ask what they did with the dog.

I laughed at the mom. They were all caught up in the emotion and then mom steps in with the truth telling. Lol. I could just picture it!

I can only imagine the startled and stunned looks on everyone's faces!  Happy ending in that the dog is being well cared for with a loving family and is a happy tail wagger.
