Significance of 58

DH just asked me to “refresh him on the significance of 58.” Hit me hard that he didn’t know the meaning of our 58th wedding anniversary today. (21,170 days of marriage but who is counting.?  Ha ha) He frequently tells people we have been married 57 years and it was the best decision he ever made (I agree) ….but today he couldn’t figure out one year more equals 58 years.

I pulled out our wedding album and he identified almost everyone except for his sister and mine. That was a plus. It was great looking at the photos. Then we went out to eat. He wanted to go to McDonalds so we feasted on chicken nuggets and hot fudge sundaes. We had a good time.

Just realized I didn’t include the extra days for leap years. Some things just don’t matter.

Whyzit let me be  the first here to say Happy 58th Anniversary. I am glad you got to go out and celebrate. Even the little things matter, I would take it if I could. My last meal with DW was last Sunday Arby's chicken sandwich and a shake and I miss it already. She will be placed sometime soon.

Whyzit, happy 58th anniversary! McDonalds is so much better than nothing and who doesn’t like hot fudge sundaes? So very proud you could both have a good time!

Happy Anniversary! Such a good idea to get out the wedding album. I think I’ll try that at our next anniversary. As for dinner at McD’s, I enjoy any meal I don’t have to cook and if it includes ice cream, even better!
