Found Travel Door Lock

When we visit family and friends, my wife tries to open the door and walk away. I found a portable device to put between the door and the frame that keeps her from doing so. I still keep an eye on her, but at least I don’t have to constantly keep her from leaving. The device consists of a metal strip with a tab that fits into the strike plate of the door latch. A plastic slide is then pushed against the door, keeping it from being opened. There is a button on the side of the slide that releases it. It’s well made and I highly recommend it. I paid $12.99 on Amazon and it comes with a travel bag. I attached a picture.

Thank you for posting this!  I've tried the door knob cover, and it wasn't effective with my husband.

Thanks for sharing this. I've not seen it before.

What I've done is tie a jingle bell on a shoe string and wrap that around the doorknob. When the bell makes a noise my DH stops because he doesn't know where the noise has come from. But I like this better.

Oh! Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been thinking about various ways to secure doors. The door knob covers was one idea, glad to have another in case that won't work.
