Good Morning Sir.  I just read an article about you in Men's Health where you shared a bit of your story.  I am sorry you have endured this for so long.

My official journey began December 2019.  Memory testing confirmed significant memory loss and difficult processing things.  Things I new, yet didn't understand.  I was a Human Resources Manager for a large LTL trucking company and was struggling to keep things together.  MY PCP early in 2020 said he thought I had Alzheimer's.  He had card for me 35 years at that time and suggested medications.  the first on began with and.  I can't remember it's exact name, but it made things worse.  Then he started me on Namenda and kept increasing dosages until I now take 10 mg am and pm, with 10 mg of Aricept at night.

I know the progression has slowed, yet also know thinking processes are worsening.  I keep exercising and challenge my mind and physical activities.  I am not giving up and will keep pushing.  Financially I do not have funds to donate.  I have registered with the Brain Health Registry, participating as requested.  I also signed up to possibly be a representative speaker for ALZ. in Montana and surrounding areas in 2023. Montana really has NO one fulfilling that role.  The Montana Chapter here in Billings focused on the RUN.  not much else. Now at 70 I feel I still have a lot to offer, yet know time may be short.

I am very encouraged by your story, your outreach and your publicly open struggle with Alzheimer's.  Thank you for staying on the forefront of this battle.  May God Bless You, Your family, The ALZ team and organization, mostly us fellow patients.

I am open to correspondence here on sight or thru my personal email:  [email protected]

Thanks again,  God Bless you Sir.  Bob   username is  EllisA on this site
