Poop issue

Looking for ideas!!  I have found "dignity" gowns/jumpsuits but the shipping will take 2-3 weeks and I need something now. (they are also ridiculously expensive)  My aunt with late stage alz, on hospice, and bedridden gets in to her diaper.  I have found her with a handfull of poop and smeared on her face several times   Any creative ideas for now to keep her from getting in her to diaper?

Sorry you are dealing with this too

We have tried a few, but our favorite is one recommended by another member here - https://littlekeepersleeper.com/

My FIL is around 125lb, and 5’9” and the size 18 fits him. They are very reasonable compared to the others I’ve seen.

Shipping still takes a bit, so in the meanwhile, you might want to consider a snap crotch undershirt for her from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/LAOLASI-sleeves-Extender-Bodysuit-Jumpsuit/dp/B08Q3V1528

Maybe to hold you over until you can get what May Flowers said - Does she have a nightgown?  Perhaps use diaper pins to make it so the bottom can't be pulled up?

My mom doesn’t move around at all in bed except with her hands. She picks at everything. She used to play around with her stuffed animals voluntarily but has stopped that now.  If she’s got nothing she’ll pick at her skin, mainly on her forehead.  I also find her picking at the tabs on her diaper and sometimes they’re apart. So far she’s not gone farther in, thank goodness. I must say that it appears my mom is completely clueless of either types of her waste.  Anywho, now when I put her to bed ( since she stays there all night and doesn’t move) I put two tennis ball sized round stuffies in her hands.  Her hands seem to instinctively hold on to them and I can see her manipulating them before she falls to sleep. Some days she still has one in her hand by morning.   Her forehead no longer looks like she’s been hit by a bat. win/win… Not sure if your LO is fidgeting or if the bowel movement prompts her behavior.  Not sure if a fidget device would help your situation, but maybe?  Or maybe the fidget tool will be covered with feces too. Blech

Good luck and truly sorry for this struggle.

@mommyandme That's a great idea that I can use for my mom actually who has dementia (FTD) and also doesn't move at all just her hands.  My aunt gets in to her diaper because I am assuming it feels sooo uncomfortable that she needs to get it out    Thanks for your feedback.
