Quilting brings calm

Thank you Ed!  I tried to post this last night, but I couldn’t get the links to open when I posted  them - so I deleted it.  

I found this appalling, especially where there are laws expressly forbidding it.    A POA doesn’t  make you legally required to use your own money to  pay  a person’s bills when they don’t have the money to pay them. Nor are we financially responsible for our siblings, friends, etc.   I don’t even understand how they can require someone to file for Medicaid on behalf of someone  else. Seems like there would be social services that could  do that. Surely people get sent to nursing homes from hospitals when  a next of kin is not found?
