Another funny thing my wife said

This morning my wife says all excited "I remembered something today, I forgot what it was but I remembered it !" That line made my day.

This morning, my wife of 47 years asked me if I would go out on a date with her.

This reminds me of something my husband said to me a couple of weeks ago. He is in a skilled nursing facility after suffering a stroke in May. It paralyzed his right side. He was diagnosed with AD 7 years ago. He is in a wheelchair.

On one of my visits I found him in the sun room on the first floor. Since his room is one floor above, I asked, «Would you like to go upstairs?» He replied, «Sure I want to go upstairs. We’ll have sex.» Since he doesn’t know where he is most of the time and being oblivious to his condition, he was likely thinking of our old life and our home, where we lived for decades and where our bedroom is upstairs. All I could do was laugh. He thought I was giggling to be coy.
