JESUS IS THE VINE

GOD THOUGHT: John 15:5 NIV
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
VICTORY THOUGHT: A close relationship with Jesus enables me to please and serve Him.
POWER PRAYER: Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, remain with me so I can fulfill Your plans for my life. Amen.

TAKE AWAY: Jesus empowers us to do His will.

I watched a movie a while back in which the central character is always asking God to show him how to want what He wants.

The line struck me so much that I kept thinking about it and finally turned it into a song - the shortest I have ever written.

Your thoughts on this verse remind me that what I want in life is to please my Lord. I want Him to show me how to want what He wants.

    Thanks, sis.

Thanks for your reminder to keep Jesus number 1 so we can be about His work in the world. I find I have time to interact with all the folks I met in the halls and waiting areas.

All extremely Great Stuff.  HE is number one for sure.  Sometimes when I am down, dealing with this forget.  Soon there is a quiet reminder of Who is in charge.  Great thing like a sparrow on the feeder or a new bloom on that silly poorly cared for plant.  God is so GREAT.  AMEN

A great little book I highly recommend is Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young. Ithas devotions for every day of the year. When I feel overwelmed by my DH dementia I take a few moments to read for encouragement.
