Yesterday afternoon my DH was in the kitchen fixing a PBJ when the cat walked by. DH looked at me and said “Did he just say hello?” I said, “I think he did,” and we both cracked up laughing. I don’t know if he had an audio hallucination or was just messing with me. Or maybe the cat did say hello.

Animals provide laughter and happiness, something we all need as much as possible. That was funny.0

Thank you for the laugh. That made my day.0

Thanks for sharing!! Those delightful moments are rare and to be treasured. My DH had a moment of reality just the other day. He looked at me and thanked me for taking care of him. He also said he wanted to apologize for being a jerk some of the time. I about fell over. I gave him a big hug and a kiss and told him thank you.0

Faith Hop-e &Love, when that happens it makes it all worth it. Keep what he said in your mind and when things are tough it remember what he said. It's been a while for me and the way things are now it's just 1 day at a time. Mary, tell the cat Hello from me. Hoot0

Thanks Hoot!! I wrote it down and have it posted where I can always see it. I'm definitely hanging onto those words.
By the way, I love your sense of humor! Thanks for sharing it. It brightens my day!

MaryG123, I love your funny postings, too. Thanks for all of them. We have a cat that not only talks in sentences but swears as well. It's one of the things that keeps us both laughing. Our little dog is only one pound more than the cat but is quite territorial and really pissed we got the cat. Dog looks in the mirror and sees a German Shepherd and does not approve of the cat in our bedroom. The cat just jumps over the dog. But she does make sure he gets up for breakfast in the morning. DH calls them both cats and refer to them as "she."0

Oh my, Saltom, I hope our cat doesn’t start swearing! So funny!0

Took my DH to the dr today - pain specialist for his severe back issues. In the elevator on our way out, I gave him a little kiss and he said "I don't know what I'd do without you". That will go very far to carry me through the days he argues about showering, insists he can drive, puts out Easter decorations in July, etc - I could go on, but you all know. We need to savor and treasure those moments when they come and try to allow them to carry us through those rough (really rough) spots. Please remind me I said this. God bless us all.0
