Do I keep trying??

My mom is convinced that I stole her keys and money.  I live 4 hours away so I can't just stop by on a daily or even weekly basis.   about 3 weeks ago she stopped answering my phone calls and text messages - my question is do I keep calling and texting her so she knows that I am thinking about her?  Honestly, I don't want to make it worse for my brothers that live there but I just want her to know that I am thinking about it but it's getting really hard for me to keep trying and nothing back except accusations ...

Should I keep trying or just wait to see her when I am in town to stop for a visit instead?

Thank you.

I would  quit calling her and call your brothers.  Keep in touch with them and let them know you are available to take your turn when you come visit.  Then do so.  They can keep you up to date for now.  If she is upset with you, your calls to her may be like making her agitated and actually causing more grief for your brothers.

Can she still read? Write her letters. My mom loves letters and reads them over and over and over. Maybe reading those letters from you will keep you in mind in a positive way.

I like the letter idea. Also small gifts. I mean really small like a small statue from Goodwill or an item from the dollar store. Something to open and bring joy for a couple hours.

Just wanted to add that another way to help and support your mom is to be there for your brothers. It sounds like they are close by and doing the daily/weekly checks. Is there anything you could do from further away, e.g., paying bills, reconciling a checkbook, scoping out lowest cost for personal items, grabbing a box of your mom's old paperwork and sorting through.
