    Hi Cecil,

My DH also has "textbook" Alz.  He is very progressed, stage 6 and resides in a MCF since November.  Several years ago, before I got the "lay of the land" so to speak, DH had several bowel movements in the shower.  He didn't seem to know it at the time.  I attribute it to the relaxation he felt with the warm shower (he was not otherwise incontinent, bowel or bladder).  From that time forward, I just made sure he used the toilet before showering.  He didn't have any further incidents.  Food for thought for helping your DW; may this solution be as easy for you.  (He never suffered from UTI's.)  Good Luck.
