I got Covid
DH has been in Memory care for 5 weeks. I had been over there everyday to eat lunch with him and also to check that they are giving him the correct medications etc. He has fallen 2 x since he was there and had to go one time to the ER to get stitches over his eye.
I have been under such stress and felt very tired and Monday I took a Covid test and tested positive. I am on Paxlovid. Very weak with sore throat, congestion, headache, muscle pain etc. Of course I can't visit DH. This just seems like the final blow to me and I am praying he doesn't pass away soon because at this point I am too exhausted to even plan his funeral. He is 92 and I am 82.

I had Covid last month, it was like a bad cold, I couldn't do anything for about 10 days. I'm okay now, but still with a slight cough. Be sure you get enough rest and fluids, Elshack!

Dear Elshack, I’m sorry to hear this news. I certainly understand that you are exhausted! A person can only do so much and then it seems that everything catches up with you. I hope that things will go smoothly for him at least long enough for you to properly rest and take good care of yourself. You are both in my prayers. I hope the symptoms will lighten up quickly for you.0

Mom was put in the hospital with COVID. She gave it to me. I drank lots of liquids, bed rest, zinc, vitamin c, Afrin (for runny nose) and have plenty of tissues on hand. I was prescribed Prednisone as well. Take care.0

Elshack, I have been in your shoes but nothing like this, you are a warrior. Mom and I both tested for Covid on the same day. She is in a facility that was having a serious outbreak. I couldn't visited her for more than ten days. I couldn't get back in even I had recovered because my husband was still tesing positive. They have very strict rules. But I was going everyday so this was so upsetting. But we both recovered.
Praying this turned out better for you.
Love,
BethMimi
