Grandma passed of LBD

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting.I was one of 3 caregivers for my grandma. She passed of aspirational pnemonia due to end stages of LBD.She passed last year on Christmas Eve.I will never know why she had to go on Christmas eve...I am still trying to process everything. Some times I still get mad at myself for not suggesting or speaking up more.Or the times I didn't enjoy spending time with her because her care was difficult.I would love to chat with people who have had a similar experience and are willing to share with me.

So sorry for your loss, Katd. I came across this saying today and thought it's something we can all be reminded of. Of course, after someone passes, everything is in hindsight, but we shall learn from it and apply the wisdom in days to come. So please be kind to yourself.

Try writing your Grandmother a letter, let her know how much you miss her tell her you love her. Your thoughts and feelings.  Tears will flow and as you write this you will feel that you are talking directly to her.  When they told me to try it I thought they were NUTS. They weren't. I've had to write 2. One to my Father that I lost at a young age.  Thursday was another to my wife which I just lost Tuesday and I'm not finished with that one yet. Please try it, it sure helps. Hoot
