I have to say it

There are some options that are better than other options, but there are no solutions.
After 7.5 years I placed DW in memory care. Much is better, much stays the same or feels worse.
In conclusion: I hate this f#^<ing disease!

John I agree. I placed my spouse in June. He seems content and has never asked to come home. It is like living in a parallel universe. When I am active and busy I enjoy myself and then when things are quiet I feel sad that he is in MC. I miss the person he was but if I am honest I have to say I am happy to have the house to myself.0

John I agree, this disease is straight out of hell. Not only does it take our love ones away, it changes us the caregiver, it takes from our children. My dh is still at home but I see so many changes. Sometimes it seems like a daily thing. And yes I hate this disease. Wishing peace for you John.0
