Indoor camera

I'm looking for an indoor camera and wonder if anyone can recommend one. My DH gets up in the middle of the night.  I'm not sure how often.iwe sleep in separate rooms. I know he gets up cuz he lets the cat in. I thought a camera might tell me more. I would need one I can check with my smart phone. I don't want any Alexa. I don't think he is sleeping very well and naps during the day, sometimes alot some time a little. He's just started taking 5mg of Natrol melatonin so I'm hoping to get his sleep better. Thanks for listening.

Sally you could use a ring camera. There are models that are not also a door bell. They have a remote chime you could put in your room to awaken you to see.  The camera's view is available on your phone.  Or if you just wanted to be aware, a bed alarm would wake you up.  Rick

I used wyze cameras I had to download the app. I don't use any of their smart stuff. I have a card that it records to and it saves events so it's easy to see when there is activity. I use my phone and can access it anywhere.

Sally I use Littlelf and really like them. Not very expensive and I got mine from Amazon. Mommy and me had recommended it and I’m glad she did. Sure others might recommend different ones. It’s really nice to check on my dh during the night and knowing he’s safe is comforting, also interesting to hear how much he still snores!

I have Blink cameras in the living room and DH’s bedroom.  I got them at a local big box store. Inexpensive and easy to set up.  (Tech is not my thing so if I can do it…!). I opted out of the cloud storage since I only want them for real time look and sees.  I can check them from my phone and they have a microphone so I can talk to DH through them.  It’s a press-to-talk function, like a two-way radio, and that function is controlled by me.  Once I open up the camera and initiate the press-to-talk function he only needs to speak and I can hear him.  Very important because his ability to use a phone , or give the “Alexa call DW” command to an Echo Dot has disappeared.  If I hear him moving around at night, (or the ominous clunk of a dropped & potentially spilled urinal), I can quickly access the bedroom camera to check on him & see if he needs help.  It’s also nice on those occasions when I am out of the house since I can take a quick peek to make sure he’s OK and the caregiver has things on track.

We have Amcrest, do not recommend. Not sure if it's our Internet or the cameras but half the time they don't load and say they're offline. Also since downloading their app, my phone's screen keeps turning on randomly all the time.

I had a Wyze, but never got it going. I think the problem was with my router because you need to have it online at least until you get it set up.

There is also a concern about security for Wyze cameras. https://tinyurl.com/8n3bafve
