 10  OVERCOME EVIL

GOD THOUGHT:  Romans 12:19-21

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. On the contrary:

“‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him;

    if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

VICTORY THOUGHT:  Jesus wants me to overcome evil by assisting all people, no exceptions!

POWER PRAYER:  Dear Jesus, grant me the presence of Your Holy Spirit, and show me how to overcome evil.  Amen.

 

me:  When I was a caregiver, I remember losing it a few times because the people helping my parents or me just weren't doing what I thought should be done.  I just wish I prayed more for patience, so I didn't hurt their feelings.
