A good read...

This past summer my cousin, who is taking care of her 102 yr old Mom, recommended a book to me that I would like to recommend to all of you. It's called 'Winter Stars' by Dave Iverson. Under the title it says..."An elderly mother, an aging son, and life's final journey." I'm half way into the book at this time and can say that it has truly spoken to me many times in just the pages I have read. 

Sometimes I think, because of this caregiving job we do for our loved one, we get to a place of struggle and thinking we are the only one going through this. But I am encouraged as I read things like Winter Stars, as well as talking to others within my small church family who are or have done the same thing. We aren't alone! But the love and care we are giving to our loved one, be it a spouse, parent or someone else, is such a gift to them. 

I hope you will be able to get this book and give it a read!!
