Bible Verse to Lift You Up 11/18/22
Hello Friends in Christ, thank you for your comments. They encourage me. Appy, your words are what I needed to hear today. Yes, we walk in God's plan! Hugs to all! Ronnie
ROOTED IN CHRIST
GOD THOUGHT: Colossians 2:6-7
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
VICTORY THOUGHT: I choose to have close relationship with Christ Jesus, and I am thankful.
POWER PRAYER: Jesus my Lord, make me forever faithful and planted in Your Truth. Amen.
TAKE AWAY: Let's always be thankful, pray often and read the Word of God to stay rooted in Christ Jesus.
*My friend Jan M. Utter writes the prayers in these GOD THOUGHTS.

I will continue to pray that your posts will be for all of us who are living with dementia in our lives regardless of our religious preference, agnostic and/or atheist.0

Truly, the ONLY way I have gotten through to this point is because of the strength that God gives me every day and knowing that He is walking with me every step of the way. He loves me...He loves my Mama and I trust His plan for both of us.
Mama is in hospice care now and is in the transitioning phase of her life. She has been transitioning for a while now but it's become more evident over the past few weeks. The nurse is coming 2-3 times a week now to check on her. Mama sleeps more than she is awake and her food intake is greatly diminished. So many other signs that we are nearing the end of her time here on earth. I already miss her because dementia has stolen her from me a while back but I will truly miss her come the time she goes home. In the same breath I will be rejoicing for her because I will know full well that she is with the Lord and is well and whole once again.
I have never been through anything like this before. It's such a mixed bag of emotions and experiences. I feel the need to be strong for my two kids (Jessica is 47 and Greg is 40) who are very close to their Grama Betty. Greg lives in the area and comes by once a week after he gets off work and spends a bit of time with her. My daughter lives in Idaho and getting here is not possible because of her job and finances. But she keeps in touch. The hardest thing for me to deal with right now is my brother. He has always been a selfish, self-centered person. He lives close by but seldom comes to see Mama. The last time he was here was the end of August and only because I called him and told him to get his fanny out here to SEE Mama. I had to email him last week and tell him again. I don't get that. Anyway...God is my Rock and I know with Him I can get through this. I thank Him daily for the five amazing caregivers Mama has and for His provision in ALL things!
