Hallmark Dementia/Alz movie

I recently watched a Hallmark movie( Italian memories)

or something like that. It showed how a person with Dementia

can seem fine one moment and greatly confused

the next moment. It also showed the importance of

the primary caregivers need for respite and differing

family dynamics about what’s important for person with

dementia. My husband with  d/Alz watched as well.

I am not sure he followed the story line but related to family

cooking together. All in all a good movie in my opinion.

It's been a long long time since I've seen Beau Bridges. I might have to find a way to watch that. Thanks again!

Hallmark is really good movie. I love watching movies in general. When I read the reviews on https://lycamobile.pissedconsumer.com/review.html , I decided to replace my old one with it. That's great because now I have a very good internet to watch movies. I'm going to spend this weekend with a lot of food and TV

I find I can't watch movies about dementia.  Too darn* upsetting.  A few years ago I saw a movie called "Still Alice" and now it haunts me.  At the time the events and story of the film seemed distant...like watching a documentary about polio or plague.  Now, oh too real. I don't have my head in the clouds but still.  Am I the only one who reacts this way?

Thanks for the suggested movies.  I'll have to see if I can find them and watch them.

I just saw a segment on Good Morning America (or some newsy/information show) that said Hallmark movies are good for Mental Health.  Interesting.

Oh no. I haven't watched Still Alice yet. I bought the DVD and I've been meaning to. I'll admit I have been afraid to. I definitely don't want it to haunt me though. PS.... don't give it away

Yes, you're correct; I appreciate your viewpoint. Because I was interested in salary in the marketing industry learning more, I was troubled for a while. I have seen the Hallmark movie, and read Still Alice. Other books and movies also, but can’t remember titles. In general, the portrayals of PWDs are one dimensional and sanitized. You don’t see dirty people, violent and argumentative people, and the only symptom they portray is forgetfulness. We all know there is so much more to the disease. I wish the books and movies were more accurate and truthful.

There's enough sadness in the real world.  I don't watch any sad movies.  Period.
