A Wise Answer

DH is obsessed with his age...82 and the fact that he can't drive anymore.  He has a litany that he repeats time after time during the day.  It goes something like this:  " I don't drive a car.  I don't ride a bike.  I can't go for a walk by myself.  I'm 82 years old!"  Sometimes I get tired of hearing it!  Yesterday though, for some reason I asked him what he would do if he could do anything he wanted.  He thought for a few minutes.  His answer surprised and touched me.  "I would be able to accept it and not get so frazzled."  That really touched my heart.

What a great answer! He knows it would be easier if he could accept it. I always knew acceptance was huge for caregivers, but I never even thought about it for the PWD.
