Neurologist in/near Livingston NJ

Looking for neurologist with dementia expertise in/newr Livingston NJ area.  Unfortunately, my mother's current physicians are not of much help.  We're driving down the highway with a blindfold on.  It's really overwhelming.

Thanks all.

I do not have a recommendation but, if there is any physician you respect, perhaps get that office to give you a recommendation.

I live near there and can't find a neurologist either. I am almost tempted to go to NYU Langone in NYC.

Hope and Easy, did you investigate University Hospital (Rutgers) in Newark? i think that is not too far from you. My DH is cared for by a doctor at NYU Langone, but I traveled for many years, for a different reason, to UMDNJ, as it was called at the time. I am not sure about dementia specialists there, but they had a very good neurology department, or we wouldn't have driven there for 20 years until my doctor retired. Might be worth exploring. NYU did a great job of diagnosing my DH, but they seem less interested in seeing him now that that's done. As others have pointed out, there really isn't much that they can do.

I get it.  We contacted Mt Sinai in NYC.  The nurse there wonderful) explained that since COVID-19, many physicians have left, resulting in demand overwhelming supply, and that this has impacted all top hospitals in NYC - eg, nyu, lenox hill, columbia.   Mt Sinai's earliest appt in May.  While there's no way we can wait that long, we added our name to their waiting list, hoping that an earlier cancellation might happen. Really difficult to be in this place -- feels so helpless, doesn't it?
