Just can't say it enough.  Part of my daily routine and my daily support to check in here.  Care about all of you, posters or not, and appreciate hearing from those who can and do post.

I've had my holiday celebrations already.  Lunch at memory care on Tuesday resulted in a great group photo of my partner perched between Santa and Mrs. Claus, with me, friends, and three favorite staff members standing behind.  She wouldn't do it unless the staff were included.  Then got to witness (and another sweet photo) my son Wednesday night, newly arrived and only an hour late (beat the storm), with his nieces cuddled one on each side, reading Night Before Christmas to them.  Those are memories enough for this year.

May each person who finds the need to be here be given peace of mind and heart thru the holiday season and into the new year.

May your best memories of times gone by sustain you.

Happy holidays to all here from me as well.  Knowing there are others here is making my day less lonely. Bad weather and now a power outage are preventing me from being with my DH in AL today as planned. I hope all here and their LOs are safe from the cold and storms.

Happy Holidays!  You forum members mean a lot to me, and I’m very happy to count you as my friends.  DH and I went out for a Christmas brunch this morning, and plan to watch a few dopey Christmas movies.  Merry Christmas!

I want to add my holiday wishes to all of you on this message board.  This morning I thought of Hubs the way he was in the 1980's, very smart and aware. I remember how thrilled he was to see a stage show with Marcel Marceau, the famous mime.  He went alone because it sounded boring to me.  The memory is sweet and sad. I miss the eager face and happy comments.

May next holiday season see us all with acceptance and whatever hope we can have!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from me too being sent to all who gather here to share, to care and sometimes just to read. It makes a difference and means a lot.

M1, your Post was beautiful, I am delighted that things went well with your Partner; that was indeed a gift and it didn't even need a ribbon!  Sweet mind picture of your son reading to the two little girls - treasured memories in the making.

May the new year that is soon to come be more gentle and kind.  Christmas hugs being sent to one and all,

    J.

M1 I am also glad your visits in a group setting seem to be working, that is really good news. We also had a Christmas party at the mc and I got a great pic of me and my dw with Santa. Greatful for all the good things that still happen. And Merry Christmas to all my forum friends you're the greatest.

    Happy Christmas M1,

I, too, find this forum a lifesaver. I go here when I feel overwhelmed and hopeless but leave feeling fortified and ready to take on the dementia goblins. I am happy you got to see your partner at the home and a good time was had by all.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Our celebration was a very quiet affair.  We both have a cough, so we cancelled our son's visit and sat watching TV with a box of tissues between us.  Good times.

Belated Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all who celebrate!

M1, Happy that you had some good moments/memories this you. A power outage on Christmas Eve day & frigid temperatures made it a little challenging for our Christmas traditions with DW but managed to pull it off in the end.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas and may the coming year be nice to all.  Time for me to get starter back on snowblower and get to work. Blowing snow takes my mind off everything, well except the cold snow in face and beard. Thank you all for everything you have shared when it was really needed. Hoot

A belated very Merry Christmas to all.

M1 - I was happy to read your post.

We had bad weather Friday and Saturday, so I didn't get to visit DH until Christmas day. Stayed with him about 4 hours. He spent a good portion of it anxiously calling out, and just otherwise unhappy. He fell asleep just before I left. I'm just glad the weather didn't keep me away another day.
