potty humor.

I was up several times in the night with restless spouse syndrome.  When I woke the last time she was standing by the bedside poking me awake. I asked if she needed help and she said “Yes.  I did something bad.  Will you hate me?”.  I noticed her pants were on backwards, and that’s almost always a sign of bathroom troubles.  With assurance that she was ‘OK’ I got very unsteadily to my feet.  I was just ‘pass-out’ tired, but I lead her toward the bathroom anyway.

There was poop in the hall.  A lot of it.  Too much actually, and then I realized that it was dog poop.  Rather dry, and easy to pick up, and that was it.  She was fine, did not have a bathroom emergency, and everything was fine.

So there it is.  One of the dogs pooped in the hall, and I was happy about it.

My life is like a bar joke.

It’s wonderful to be able to find the silver lining in what others might consider a bad thing…you, and all of us here, know how to laugh and, bless you, you made me chuckle, too. Have a good day!!

Thank you for the laugh, I really needed it! It was a rough night with my restless spouse syndrome and I lost my temper. I told him he couldn't lIve with me anymore if he didn't sleep at night with me. I know... ridiculous. I woke up sad that I lost my temper and grumpy that I was so tired as you describe. What's a little dog poop LOL

Thanks for the smile this morning.

Living with someone with Alzheimer's brings on a whole new perspective when dealing with our day to day life.

I am so glad it wasn't what you thought it would be!!

"Restless spouse syndrome."  Where was this term when I was dealing with it! I'm adding it to my vocabulary.

    (Good dog))

We had fecal issues this week too and you’re so right.  I’d much rather deal with the canine variety.  Thanks for the laugh!

Thanks for the laugh.  Caregivers tend to appreciate the small things (or not so small).
