Dr is making a house call tomorrow

I called the doctor today and he is making a house call tomorrow after 5pm. The purpose of my call was b/c of marked changes in my mother. As of Tuesday night she has had a lot of weakness and loss of bladder control. I asked for a referral to a visiting nurse and he said he needed to see her before he could do that. We discussed the possibility of a UTI & he wondered if there may have been a stroke. He asked how aggressively we wanted her treated. I said we did not want her to go thru what she went thru in the spring when she had a UTI. We didn't want to take her to ER or have her admitted to the hospital.  He was ok with this.  I believe he is a very old school doctor,  he is in his 70's.

Next week Wednesday she will be 89.

You can ask for a "nun's cap" which is a type of container to place beneath a toilet seat to collect urine to test for uti.  A pharmacy or a lab may have this.

Thank you,  I could not think of the name of the collection container for the toilet.  I had used the little bucket from the commode previously.

Waiting for the doctor to arrive, should be here shortly.
