In home Dr. visit

The in home doctor visit went well.  I think the most helpful aspect was that she was at home. He said her heart sounded good and her blood pressure was good. He wanted to rule out a stroke and he was satisfied after doing a few simple tests such a grip strength, leg lifting and checking her eye tracking.  I watched, it was VERY good.

He is making the referral for a visiting nurse who will make once a month visits. My brother & I are pleased with this as we feel having someone, outside the family, who sees her may notices changes we might miss.

I was so amazed how talkative my mom was with the doctor.  I really feel it was because she was seeing him in her home and not the office. This made her most comfortable.

Very fortunate to find a doctor that makes housecalls.  I thought that was fiction.

Kay82, I'm glad the doctor visit went so well. It's good that a nurse will be coming out monthly.
