Just a quick survey of which product you have found have worked best for removing urine from sofa cushions that can't be removed. Online sources say that an enzymatic pet stain remover is the way to go. Obviously mom should be more supervised and I will be ordering waterproof pads for the seats that she uses. Thanks!

I have a friend who swears by Clorox Urine Remover. She finds it at Walmart.
I will say that if her urine is very concentrated or if it was enough urine to get deep into the cushions, you might not be able to rescue the piece. If you want to keep the piece, I would hire a professional who uses extraction methods to clean.

Thanks for the response. I ended up running back to my house to get my carpet, shampooer and upholstery tool. I then went over to the local store and got a pet urine stain. Removing detergent for the carpet shampooer. My fingers are crossed. I’m hopeful that it will work, but I am very aware that it may not.0

We've generally found that Simple Solution enzymatic pet stain remover seems to work best. We would do two applications. Spray and soak once. Let sit for a bit. Sponge up. Go over with the carpet cleaner. Spray and soak a second time.
Can you remove the foam from the couch cushion? Sometimes you can hose down those pieces of foam, cleaning them separate from the fabric covering, and they will come out well.

Thanks BassetHoundAnn for your suggestion. Unfortunately, the couch cushions are not removable. On a positive note, the Hoover pet urine cleaner for upright carpet shampooers seems to have worked. I really got my nose into the cushion for a sting whiff. As if 24 hours since cleaning, there is no smell. Yippee!0
