Problematic Behavior

My DH has recently started blowing his nose into his hands in spite of a kleenex in every pocket.  Does any one have advice about how to deal with this?

    Hello,

Not this particular problem but mom 'digs' in her nose, smells it and wipes it on her cloths. It's 'GROSE', I've tried asking "what are you doing", "do you need a tissue", "is something in your nose"... She seems to stop the behavior when it's brought to her attention, but repeats...

Try handing him a tissue when you notice the start of the behavior. It's all trial and error what works once may not work the next time. Asking if he needs to clean his nose, providing a tissue, and speaking to the doctor about possible nasal inflections (sinus issues) may help until you are able to get to the root of the problem (why is he blowing his nose).

Hope you find a solution that works.

If his short term memory is shot, there may not be anything you can do about it, unless you are keeping a very sharp eye on him. They simply don't see anything wrong with what they do. While it may be gross, there are other people who would gladly trade their LOs habits with you. I'm sorry you have to put up with this.
