Question about calling out for help

I am looking for suggestions on sun downing and saying “help me” while lying in bed also wanting to get up and down out of bed! My mom is 94, early on set dementia that started about 1year ago!

I am so sorry you are hearing this. My husband did the same. Looking back I wonder if just holding him would have helped.

It sounds as if she is getting anxious later in the day. Possibly panic attacks. I think you should have a talk with her doctor. There are medications that can help.

My mother does the same thing about 5 times a day.  She will randomly just start to cry and start to say help me.  I ask her what she wants but she doesn't really have an answer. Sometimes she will say she just needs help.  The past couple of days I have held her hand and just tried to reassure her that I am here to help her with whatever she needs.  It's the best solution I've come up with so far.  But it's still hard to watch.
