How true. DW is late stage and has been in memory care since May.

Thank you for sharing what I have been feeling. I’m shocked at some of the thoughts that go through my head but it doesn’t change them. My respite care nurse says to show myself some grace. I want this to be over soon. I’m trying to survive on 2-3 hours of sleep a night. Drugs aren’t an option. We’ve tried them all. Sends him to “another planet” he tells me and makes him crazy. Every night when I give him melatonin he asks if I’m giving him the small, pink pill. So sad.

Wow, thought I was the only one. In the last month my DH has had Covid (with no symptoms), pneumonia (with no symptoms) and we are awaiting possible bladder cancer diagnosis. With each diagnosis there is a part of me hoping the end is near. I see how difficult life is for both of us. I just want him to be at peace and happy. I don’t think it’s possible while he is alive. He is miserable. I am too.
