Hello everyone.my stage 6e LO will not submit to giving blood samples or taking injections.She refuses and becomes combative.Has anyone else experienced this and what might be done to help her comply.thank you all. Also some personal hygiene resistance

    Sounds like LO isn’t comprehending what is going on in the situation and can’t see the benefit of the outcome.  Is the bloodwork necessary and worth the struggle?  If not, I’d consider letting it go.  If it’s going to lead to an outcome that you aren’t going to treat the. Why not just be happy and utilize palliative care?

    I would agree with Lauren that it may not be worth the effort.  You always have to ask what you would do with the information from blood work--I can't imagine much, at 6e.  Injections ditto, although I believe in flu and covid vaccines not just to protect her but those around her.  But at some point, it's not worth it.
