One month later...
Moved mom end of February. First week, I was told she was doing really well. As far as nursing care went, I agreed. Diaper rash got better. Then they moved her to the secured side. She got bad diaper rash again, and she has a chest cold, an no one noticed. I had to say something three times to three different people from Wednesday to Monday before someone said they would order something for it.
And her belongings keep disappearing. They are marked. And they are not valuable. I didn't take anything there that was valuable. I knew better. But when her stuffed animal and fuzzy pillow go missing, I want to bring her more stuff, but I know it is no use. They will disappear too. Not sure if mom even notices, but I certainly do. I get angry every time I go to see her. I HATE that I had to put her there. I thought I chose a good facility. Right now I don't think there is a facility in the world that would meet up to my expectations. I'm so angry. I guess I might need counseling. I didn't know it would be just as hard to have her in that crappy place as it was to have her at home. Just not as physically taxing. And is it normal to have her in three different rooms in just the first month? Life is such a joke.

That is infuriating! The diaper rash, the constant moving, the loss of belongings. I don't have any answers for you but am so upset reading this. I'd be beside myself too. I hope you find some answers soon.0

We have a couple of residents who wander into other residents room, picking up belongings. They don’t understand that the items belong to other people. The residents seem to have a better idea of where the wandering ones are than staff.
Most of the med techs or aides have to have a physician order to treat a person, so start at the top, to get an order in place that has to be followed.

Unfortunately things disappear in MC. Staff and residents are at fault. Once there was a bunch of men's laundry in my mom's closet in her room. She would also wander with items from her room. Sometimes I would find them in the common areas. Other times they were just gone. I would request a meeting with the director to find out why she is being moved so often. Also request to go over her care plan. Have you considered a smaller facility like a residential care facility? It is a home with tops 6 residents. That is where my mom is and nothing disappears and she is well taken care of.0
