Henry my hubby of 43 years now free from Alzheimers and pain

after a horrible day before he passed peacefully last night.

My kids and grandkids heartbroken.

Does not seem real.

Woke up and looked at his bed as usual to see how he is and realized ...... : (

    Thank you,

Its too quiet here. I'm up early as usual.

I'll have to go through the "motions" Went to the funeral home yesterday.

It was so difficult this past year but it's hitting so hard that he is gone.

    My heart hurts.

Numb, his suffering is over and he is at peace finally. After a while the good memories of the past will start surfacing. You will be able to forget his bad days from the Alz. It's happening to  me now remembering the good time from year's before.

It does get easier but it takes time. Keep on letting us know how you are doing. It helps us and you at the same time. My condolences.
