Not sure yet what to think about the new website. I was used to the other message board system.

Soon, I am flying to my parents' home for a week long visit. Last month my dad, ADLO, was in the hospital a few days. I will see when I get there how he is doing; if the time in the hospital, and his increased confusion during that time, has robbed him of more memory. I really hate this disease.

It was a good visit! I thought I had replied to this, but I guess I didn't, so I am updating now...a few days before my next visit. When I was there, my dad 'knew me, but not all about me'~is how I have described it. He knew I was his daughter, but, for example when I arrived home, he didn't ask about my trip there, the flight, like he used to.~My mom did though. He was, however, mad/frustrated that lunch was late (a big thing for him) due to Mom waiting until I arrived. The next day, and days thereafter, we hugged and he grasped my hand and held it up to his cheek, which was super sweet. He does less initiating of conversation. I did however, get him to work on a jigsaw puzzle with me, which he has both declined and accepted before; we actually worked on the puzzle for 3-and-a-half hours! He was engaged, kept at it.
