I don't know what stage your LO is in, so these are just general suggestions.

    • Check your local newspapers, they often have lists of events
    • Check with your library, they often have various events and classes
    • Check with area churches, they may have senior programs, and may not be limited to those with church memberships
    • Check with your local park system for outdoor concerts, and town government for lectures and events
    • Your local senior center
    • Your local hospital system for lectures
    • The Alz assoc in your area
    • Local adult day care
    • Local independent and assisted living facilities, sometimes programs are open to the public
    • Inquire of your local Alzheimer's support group

If you find something, make sure to call or otherwise check for physical accessibility before you go, including bathroom accessibility.

My LO enjoyed the senior meal, all music programs, movies at the local library, and informational lectures with refreshments well into stage 5, although what she got out of the lectures was probably zero she enjoyed the experience. I did learn to be careful though, because she could get overtired and overwhelmed and that really showed up the next day.

For care, I don't have a lot, I would just ask anyone you could if they have a recommendation.
