My DH has passed
I have only been on this group for a relatively short time since becoming my DH caregiver. I have received a lot of great information and support. It is with a sad heart I tell you my DH on passed this morning. He went into the hospital because of increasing falls, and failing health on Feb 9th. They placed him in a long term nursing home a month later and he passed this morning. I have been caring for him for about 8 years and it seems like this end came extremely fast. I know he is in a better place and all but that sure is a big, old, empty recliner sitting there.

Please add my sympathy too. It is a hard loss....very hard...which many of us here have experienced.
I hope you will consider staying with us in Stage 8 for at least a while.

I’m truly sorry for your loss. We go through grief twice. First, the anticipatory grief that goes on for years as we care for a spouse with dementia. Then we mourn when our LO dies.
