    Hi Jeanne,

I am so sorry you are needing to be on this site. I find that I do better if I don't think of the past or how our relationship used to be or what he used to be able to do. It only hurts and gets me down. I used to focus on the past, etc. and I finally figured that it wasn't going to help me get through this. When memories creep into my mind, I turn them around to think about how grateful I am that we have all of those beautiful memories, times etc. Many people don't get that or time together and we have been blessed. It takes time to get to this point and I may have problems later as I am probably postponing my grief. However, right now, it is working for me and allowing me to do what needs to be done. I, too, have had to take over everything except some simple things. I used to think that if something happened to him, I would be lost and I always wanted to be the first to pass. Now, I have gotten stronger because I have had no choice. Jeanne, this is a process, which will grow you and you are going to be ok.
