Moving LO to another state

Has anyone had to move their LO to a new facility in a different state? My mom lives about 4 hours away and I am looking into moving her into a memory care facility by me. Does anyone have any recommendations for arranging transportation? Thank you.

    The only suggestion I have is to check with the facility you are at and the one you are using to see if they have any ideas. I did find a good thread on this but the links all seemed to be to posts no longer available. Others will be along with their take.🙂

    My aunt served as guardian for her sister with dementia and moved her from mid-coast Maine to suburban Boston using a private medical transport company. These are like the ambulances used when people are discharged from a hospital to a SNF/rehab. My aunt was able to ride with her for the trip.
