    My mother can still read as well, but more and more the ability to engage and be able to initiate actions recedes. It's hard to see. I'm glad you've found an activity that soothes her soul. She may not be able to follow everything discussed, but as you say, she intuitively gains comfort from it-what a kind thing you're able to do for her.
