Can anyone tell me, what does it mean to be "tagged" in a post?

It means you're mentioned in the post.

If you have set your profile up to receive notifications about being mentioned, you will receive either a message or a mail. Those are meant to let you know that you might be interested in coming here and looking at the post. As far as I know, there is no further meaning on this website.

it means more on Facebook. There, tagging someone allows their Facebook friends to see your post even if they aren’t friends of yours.

GG and QBC, Thank you both for responding. I had no idea what it meant although I now see people mentioning being tagged on the boards. I checked my notifications and I see that that notification had been automatically checked after the transition. I kept it the same. I also noticed that I have 43 notifications. Later, when I have more time, I will look at my notifications.

My brother set up a FB account for me years ago, I only visit when I get a notification by email. Some of my relatives are prolific FB posters. But I don't post myself, except to respond to them or to wish happy birthday. Again, thanks for my education!
