Recommendations for AL facilities in either NY or FL?
Has anyone move a family member into an AL in the Citrus County area of FL or Orange County area of NY? Both would work for my parents who are just about ready to give up living in their own independent apartment. Hoping someone on this forum can recommend a place they have dealt with personally as online reviews are a mixed bag!
Thank you in advance for your input!

I would not put any stock in reviews, on-line or otherwise. One problem is that people in AL can have very different experiences, based on their level of need and staff experiences, as staff can constantly change. I would contact your long term care ombudsman, usually through the Area Agency on Aging, They can usually give you a good idea of what is available and what sources to check for information.
