Rapid decline

My 62 year-old DW is rapidly declining and I am extremely depressed about it. We live together in an Assisted Living facility. I am 61 and have Parkinson's. Her doctor says she will soon have to go Memory Care. It really is impossible for me process this. My anxiety level is through the roof!

When my DH was in MC the AL facility was in the same building. There were a few couples that were separated this way, but they were allowed to get together as often as they wanted. If you're in the same facility maybe something like this can be arranged. It might be easier for you to join your wife at dinner time and during the activity time. Iam sorry for what you are going through, hopefully this might help. As for your anxiety, I totally understand that maybe ask your doctor for something to help you with that. Please take care of yourself. Hugs Zetta

Thanks Zetta... Your suggestions are very much appreciated. Our AL facility does not have a MC unit. However, we have both been extremely happy with the staff here. They are very understanding and helpful. Nevertheless, the decline I see in my DW is hard, hard, hard to watch. Thanks again. Hz.
