Dealing with family members death

My Dad is pretty emotional after learning that his brother in law (my moms sisters husband) passed away during the night in hospice care.
We tried to get up to see him at the hospice home this morning and Dad wanted to go. They were fairly close so I figured it would hurt more if he didn’t go. He passed during the night and obviously family hadn’t been called yet. When we got to hospice they told us.
Hes afraid he’s next now. I mean technically he very well could be bc it’s only him and three aaunts now. As for the males he’s the last man standing.
How do I help him get through this?
