We never had my mother diagnosed but her symptoms began in 2014. She is 89. Last month she fell for the second time and with no ability to walk we placed her in a memory center. Despite being in a wheelchair she has tried to leave & we are now looking for a locked facility. My brother died last week & my emotions are so raw at having to deal with this on my own. I want to quit my job & hide under a rock not knowing how long this will go on.

So sorry for your losses. Makes caring for your mom all the harder I’m sure

I’m so sorry, this is such a terrible journey on its own! My brother and I partnered in my moms care, I needed him. You need yours too. My heart breaks for you. Is your mom aware of his passing? So many layers, so difficult.

I am sorry. Losing your brother is awful. I can totally relate to wanting to hide under a rock until this ends. It is so difficult that I feel lucky to just get through the day. You have my sympathy. Take care..
