Asking for help - lesson I just learned
So… finally having my mom getting quality medical care, there are more doctor appointments. For the first time, I couldn’t make one coming up. I was so stressed, didn’t want to reschedule (long waits for appointments). I thought about getting a car to take her there but that seemed not smart given where she is.
I did something that in times past I wouldn’t dream of. I called a favor of a neighbor and asked if she would take her (I will pick her up). She said yes!!!!!!! I felt like I hit the lottery. This person is an rn and has met my mom. I have asked things of people I never would have dreamed of before and they are coming through.
Just a reminder: we don’t have to do it all alone. I feel like crying with relief.

Thank you for this post. Reaching outside our uncomfortable “comfort zone” can be very healing, even for a moment. Very happy you found some relief.

Thank you m&m. I have to learn this. I can’t make it through working full time without it and that’s exactly right: just that one small favor made me feel like maybe I can get through. I do appreciate you getting it.
