    I am so sorry @jennifer1995

What happens if you just don't take his calls?

Maybe he just needs to get away for a couple of days. Maybe he needs to go to a hotel so he doesn’t feel he’s imposing on anyone. Sounds like he’s crying out for help, trying to escape. I know he doesn’t want someone to come in but he must accept his limits and yours? His anxiety seems pretty high. He’d probably benefit from someone else being there with him to help vet the home care companies. Maybe when a new caregiver starts someone can be there with him to help diffuse any awkwardness?

Do you have a blood pressure cuff? Might be worthwhile to check him, don’t want him to stroke out. Maybe the doc could prescribe a home nurse visit to weigh in on both of them. I don’t know about you but high anxiety for me is so physically and mentally uncomfortable, and I know it takes a toll on my physical health too.

Sounds like your dads well-being is at stake and an intervention might be in order. I’m so sorry.
