    As an RN, Administrator of Patient Care Management, and who has had LOs in Hospice, that has been my experience. I always try to use non-profits.

    The other thing I have gleaned through my personal and professional experience, is that the larger hospices do a much better job in multiple ways and are more responsive than do the smaller "Mom and Pop" ones.

    It makes a huge difference to both the patient and the family; it is a quality of life issue in the process of dying.

    Thank you for the article, more and more the for profits are surfacing; it is good for us to become aware of the impact.
